Is SAQI membership only for companies?

No, SAQI membership is also open to individuals, schools, SMMEs and Special Interest Groups.

 

Do you have to be a member of SAQI to attend SAQI training courses?

No, in the interest of making quality principles accessible to all South Africans, SAQI courses are open to everyone. Nonetheless our experience is that after attending a SAQI course delegates want to become SAQI members as they feel the need to share information, network and communicate with the quality fraternity.

 

What kind of training does SAQI offer?
A broad range. Detailed synopsis available on this website.

Does SAQI train Quality Assurance staff in Quality Management Systems?
Yes.

We require more information on training of SMMEs
Available on request.

Does SAQI help to implement Quality Management Systems?
Yes.

Where can we get information on becoming HACCP certified?
At SAQI.

Does SAQI sell mailing lists of Quality organisations in South Africa?
No.

Does SAQI provide accreditation?
This is not SAQI’s role, but we can point you in the right direction.

Do you test samples for manufacturers
No, but we can point you in the right direction.

What is the difference between SAQI and SABS?
SAQI is the National body for Quality Awareness. SABS is the national Body for Standards.

Where can an SMME find start-up information?
This is not one of SAQI’s main functions, but we can point you in the right direction.

How does a Quality Health Check work?

Are SAQI Service Providers registered?
SAQI service providers are registered with SETA (the Sector Education Training Authority). The process of registration requires that they submit their training manuals via SETA for verification against the Unit Standards of SAQA (the South African Qualification Authority). These two entities are the only two national statutory bodies for training in the country.
